Our favourite Berlin book store, Bildband, is hosting the artist and singer/songwriter Michael Stipe for the launch of his new book ‘Our Interference Times: A Visual Record’

Stipe is going to be onsite to talk about his life-long passion for photography and its potential to produce a defining image of our times.

In ‘Our Interference Times: A Visual Record’, multifaceted artist, Stipe has collaborated with the writer and artist Douglas Coupland on an investigation of how analog imagery is crashing on the shores of our digital future.

As a member of R.E.M., Stipe was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007. He also was in charge of R.E.M.’s visual aspect, often selecting album artwork and directing many of the band’s music videos.
